Tough upper to protect feet from water and dirt

The fabric features GORE-TEX, known for its industry-leading waterproof and breathable properties. It prevents water like rain from passing through, while sweat is expelled as vapor to the outside, ensuring a dry feel without any stuffiness.

The upper is made of durable woven textile with TPU reinforcement. By combining TPU reinforcement with highly durable 100% recycled woven textile, stability is improved.

Equipped with a “bellows tongue” to prevent the intrusion of dirt and small stones. This feature, commonly seen in trekking and hiking shoes, connects the tongue and the vamp, allowing for worry-free use even in tough environments.

Additionally, the loop placed at the center of the tongue is designed to prevent the shoelaces from coming undone by snagging on something during trails.

Comfortable insole even in tough conditions
The insole features Merrell’s proprietary “ComfortBase” technology, which aims to reduce foot fatigue and provide comfort. It fits snugly underfoot, enhancing stability in the heel area and improving walking performance.

Furthermore, the foot cover on the surface of the insole provides both breathability and odor resistance, keeping the inside of the shoe clean.

FloatPro Midsole
“FloatPro” is an ultra-lightweight midsole foam that gives you the feeling of “floating” when you hold it. Developed through scientific approaches, it achieves a balance between lightweight and durability that is difficult to achieve with standard EVA foam. It provides excellent cushioning for long-lasting comfort.

On the forefoot side of the sole, a 3/4 ESS foam rock plate is installed to protect the sole and provide resistance against ground impact. The heel area is made of soft material to enhance stability underfoot.

Unrivaled grip on any surface
The outsole features the high-performance “VIBRAM MEGAGRIP” with VIBRAM’s latest “TRACTION LUG” technology, which is highly valued even in serious hiking. The protrusions on the surface of the outsole are called “lugs.” By adopting the TRACTION LUG with excellent grip and stability, it provides reassuring slip resistance even on wet surfaces and rough rocky terrain often found along riverside campsites.
